Alpaufzug🐄💐
Every spring, hundreds of farmers across Switzerland set off with their decorated animals toward the alpine summer pastures – this tradition is called the “Alpaufzug.” The cows wear intricately embroidered flower headdresses, large bells (“Trychlen”) echo through the valleys, and the procession is often accompanied by flag throwers, the sounds of alphorns, and a festive folk atmosphere.
